Roberto is one of our certified UIAGM mountain guides at Snowbusters who absolutely shreds when it comes to Ski Touring, Freeride, and Big Wall Climbing courses. This Madrid native heard the mountains calling (they were probably yelling "SEND IT!") and couldn't resist moving to Chamonix in 2014, where the powder is deeper than his life philosophies.
He earned his UIAGM mountain guide stripes at ENSA in Chamonix – the oldest guide school in the world (basically the Hogwarts for people who think gravity is just a suggestion).
These days, Roberto plays in the mountains year-round – slaying freshies in winter and hanging off rock faces in summer like it's totally normal behavior. He knows the Chamonix peaks better than the back of his ski gloves, having conquered some seriously spicy routes like American Direct on the west face of the Drus and Walker Spur on the north face of Grandes Jorasses. Despite these hardcore credentials, what really makes Roberto's ski boots tingle is guiding clients to unexplored terrain where everyone – including him – gets that "what the heck did I sign up for?" adventure experience. Don't worry though, he'll bring you back... probably!
