Meto is the local half of every Snowbusters adventure in Macedonia. He learned to ski on Shar Mountain, and in 2017 he and his friend Mihail Solakov turned that home advantage into Shar Outdoors, the cat-ski and ski touring operation based at Popova Shapka.
He is a certified UIMLA mountain leader and ski guide, and part of the instructor team for winter tours and avalanche safety. In plain language: he knows where the good snow is, and he knows when to leave it alone.
Off the skis, Meto is a mountaineer, a trail runner and the race director of the High Scardus Ultra. He is also a trained archaeologist, so expect the history of the Balkans served with your powder, free of charge.
