Your local guide for The Accursed Cat-Ski Expedition and The Accursed Powder Traverse. Deni co-founded Freeride Kosovo, serves in the alpine search and rescue unit of the Kosovo Security Force and leads the conditions assessment and avalanche briefing every morning.

reads the snow
Deni is the calm one in the front seat of the snowcat. He is a ski instructor and mountain guide, co-founder of Freeride Kosovo, and a member of the alpine search and rescue unit of the Kosovo Security Force.
Every morning he leads the conditions assessment and the avalanche safety briefing, then decides which of the three zones above Deçan gets skied that day. Transceiver, shovel and probe for everyone, guides included, and a search exercise on day one so nobody meets their gear for the first time in an emergency.
Deni has also headed the Kosovo Mountain Search and Rescue Service, so the person choosing your line is the same person the country calls when things go wrong in the mountains. We find that reassuring. You will too.
