It’s intense for sure, but this means you’ll do a lot of riding and touring and develop your skills quickly and progress way faster than you thought possible. Join Snowbusters in Norway and you’ll quickly reach new heights and be ready to take on epic lines you could only dream of.
The exact itinerary of this ski touring and splitboarding adventure in Norway will depend on the weather and snow conditions. We are going to be based in the Sunnmøre Alps. Its mountains are surrounding two of the most dominant fjords in the region, Geirangerfjord and Hjørundfjorden. The area has an unlimited amount of peaks offering great opportunities for different levels of skiing skills and recent conditions. Most ski tours offer trips of about 1000 vertical meters.
On the first day, we will focus on getting to know each other, making sure that we choose the right terrain for everyone`s skills and physical abilities. A big part of the introduction day will be spent with avalanche awareness and rescue practice. Our location will be in and around Strandafjellet ski resort.
During the upcoming days, we will adjust our ski touring plans according to the current conditions, weather, and the group`s skills and wishes. Some of the classic tours we can get inspired by our Blæja, Kvitegga by Ljøen, Jolgrøhornet, and more. The plan is to do roughly 5 days of skiing or snowboarding followed by a rest day, and another 5 days of backcountry fun in the mountains. Of course, everyone is more than welcome to take a rest day at any time
