Small yet perfectly formed, Fieberbrunn is Tirol’s best kept secret and boasts the best snow record in the Kitzbüheler Alps. Fieberbrunn is our second home, our most popular resort and is ideal for short ski breaks, ski weekends and families. There is great skiing locally and in the Schneewinkel area (170 kilometres of piste) with further mileage available on the Kitzbuheler Alps All-Star lift pass. Off-piste, there is some fantastic freeride terrain and Fieberbrunn is a regular and popular stop for the Pros on the Freeride World Tour. Enjoy it now before the secret gets out!
The resort’s ski area (800-2020 metres) is located on the mountain range between Kitzbühel and Saalbach and offers great skiing locally and on the Schneewinkel Area which offers around 170 kilometres of piste.
The Schneewinkel area (Snow Corner) is made up of a number of resorts most notably Fieberbrunn, St Johann in Tirol and Waidring. An efficient and free resort bus network connects the entire area allowing you to easily day trip to the other resorts. For further piste mileage, check out the Kitzbuheler Alps All-Star Pass. This offers extended access to Saalbach’s 200 kilometres of piste (accessed from Fieberbrunn via nearby Leogang (20 minutes)) and Kitzbuhel (30 minutes) plus other resorts. Great for day-tripping.
With its own micro-climate, north-facing slopes and impressive snow record, top-to-bottom skiing lasts well into April. There is snow-making on virtually all of its pistes and some truly atmospheric mountain huts add to the appeal and charm of the area.
On piste, the area is best suited to beginner and intermediate skiers whilst off-piste, Fieberbrunn has earned a reputation as a top freeride destination with excellent lift-accessible terrain. Fieberbrunn hosted Austria’s first Big Mountain competition over 5 years ago and is now a major stop on the Freeride World Tour which attracts the world’s top riders and is testament to the quality of off-piste terrain here.
