Karel is a ski and telemark instructor, also from the Czech Republic. He’s been teaching skiing since 2011 and in 2013 became a holder of the ISIA mark. Although skiing is his first love, during the summer months he coaches tennis in the Czech Republic. He speaks English, Russian and basic German.

He studied at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University where he attained a bachelor’s degree and is now studying for a master’s. After finishing his studies, he plans to become a full-time a mountain guide in Austria.

Karel says: ‘As a young kid, I grew up in the mountains. I love being in the mountains, most of all when I’m freeride skiing in powder. As Alan Watts says: “It’s better to have a life that’s full of what you like doing, than a life spent in a miserable way ”. I hope to see you on the slope soon.’
